Under Construction

Alamara Vocational Training and Day Care Facility will start functioning from the academic year 2016-17. We are looking for socially conscious, dedicated, hard working individuals / volunteers who enjoy the challenge of working with developmentally challenged people. 1.Head of the Institution for the Vocational training and Day Care Centre
Number of positions open: 1
Should be a graduate in any discipline and should have a diploma or a certificate course inspecial education with atleast 8 years of working experience in special schools, handling the skill development of children of various developmental disabilities . Responsibilities include (but not limited to) running the day to day activities of the centre, planning and executing skill development and training programs for the students and training, mentoring and evaluating the staff. She/he shall help the management team of Alamara to recruit other staff members. She/he will directly report to the Alamara Centre’s management team and work closely with the management team for establishing an excellent vocational training and day care facility for the developmentally disabled persons.

2.Administrative manager
Number of positions open: 1
Currently working or retired person with administrative, accounting, purchasing experience from any organization or educational institutions or special education school. He / She should be a graduate in any discipline. She/he is responsible for safety, security, day to day accounting, purchasing, record keeping of staff and students, coordination of transport, coordination with parents and other visitors, maintenance and up keep. Will report to the management team of Alamara and work closely with the centre head.

3.Special Education Teachers and/or Vocational Trainers
Number of postions open: 3
Should have a degree or diploma in special education with atleast 1 year of working experience in special schools or vocational centres for the disabled. Main responsibility is to train the students in various vocational skills and helping the centre head in defining the curriculum and training activities. Will report to the centre head.

4.Assistant Trainers
Number of positions:3
Should have some experience working with developmentally disabled persons helping themwith their self help skills such as toilet activities and meals. She/he will also assist teaching/training staff.

5.Office Executive Assistant – male.
Number of positions open: 1
He should be a graduate in commerce ( B.Com or BBM). Work as an office executive assistant reporting to the Administrative Manager. He is responsible for safety, security, day to day accounting, purchasing, record keeping of staff and students, coordination of transport, coordination with parents and other visitors, maintenance and up keep.

6.Volunteers / Trainees
Any persons - graduates/ diploma holders/ uneducated/ students - with the intention of social service or with the intension of pursuing a career in special education can apply. He / she shall be committed to the cause of improving the life style of persons with the developmental disabilities . On completion of minimum of 3 months of their service at Alamara vocational training and day care centre, an “experience and recognition certificate” indicating the areas of their contributions will be issued by the centre.
